21 November 2016 – FARA and FluidTime have worked together to deliver an integrated travel app to Salzburg AG. The new app helps passengers find the best route and buy the right ticket – all in one place – making it easier to use public transportation.
FARA delivered a cloud based ticket service solution that allows for mobile ticketing to be integrated in the qando app. FARA won the contract in July 2016 and the new app was launched on Apple iTunes and Google Play in October.
“By integrating the FARA SMART:myCloud – Ticket Service solution, the existing qando planner app now also has a ticket purchasing function. FARA Sales Service is an open source and cloud-based solution that calculates the correct price of unique tickets and delivers the tickets to the app. Our API integrates to payment providers and contains the needed communication, administration panel and reports from the SMART mobile platform. It has been developed according to best practice and we are excited to bring FARA to a new market outside of the Nordics,” says Ørjan Kirkefjord, CEO, FARA.
The new qando app helps passengers find the best route from their current location to their destination and buy the right ticket with just a few clicks, and within the same application.
